Two suspected hoodlums nabbed in Ikorodu

Activities happening within the Ikorodu axis of Lagos State was grounded for some time today, Wednesday after Nigerian Police Force Lagos State Command apprehended two suspected armed robbers terrorizing the area.
The two hooligans Gbolahan Adebowale, male, 18yrs, and Quadri Giwa Giwa Ajina, male, 21yrs, were arrested at Sabo area at about 1:30 pm during an operation carried out by a team of policemen attached to Sagamu Road Division, Ikorodu, Lagos State.
However, the Police saved the suspected criminals from being lynched by an angry mob just as a barrette pistol was recovered from the duo.
CP Hakeem Odumosu, the Commissioner of Police, has ordered that the criminals should be moved to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department CID, for proper investigation and prosecution.
In another development, a crisis ensued at Idi-Orogbo, Agunfoye area of Igbogbo in Ikorodu among some persons believed to be land grabbers on Wednesday.
We learned that a suspected land grabber in the community who has just regained freedom from a law enforcement agency was behind the controversy as he was said to have embarked on a revenge mission against his perceived foes.
Meanwhile, in the ugly incident which occurred at about 11 am, no life was lost during the fracas.
As at the time of briefing newsmen, a combined team of security operatives in the area were present.
