Police arrest 3 persons linked to kidnapping of two men in Adawama

Nigeria Police Force, Adamawa State Command on Monday apprehended three young men in connection with the abduction of two men in the state.
The Police disclosed that the three suspects arrested are among five kidnappers reasonably believed to have abducted two men in the Gombi Local Government Area Council in the past.
DSP Suleiman Nguroje, the Adamawa State Command’s Police Public Relations Officer stated in a statement he presented to newsmen that the three suspects were nabbed on Saturday following investigations and serious efforts of men of his Command.
The PPRO said that investigations since then have established that the three, working with the other two still at large, abducted Ali Ahmadu and Alhaji Guruza of Antasa and Balhona villages in the Gombi LGA in November 2020.
He stated thus, “The suspects were apprehended at their various hideouts in Gombi town following credible information and intense search by the Police and Pulaku Vigilantes team of Gombi Division.”
DSP Nguroje identified the three arrested suspects as 22 years old Likita Muhammed, a native of Zangra Village, Gombi LGA; 26 years old Ibrahim Adamu, a native of Balhona village, Gombi LGA; and 20 years old Buba Mammadu, a native of Balhona village.
DSP Nguroje explained that “Investigations so far revealed that the suspects are members of a notorious armed robbery/kidnappings that specializes in terrorizing innocent citizens in the Central zone of Adamawa and Kwaya kusa of Borno states.”
He further revealed that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, had directed further investigations into the case to gather more evidence
The Police Spokesman went ahead to state that the Commissioner of Police equally asked that the suspects be arraigned in court once investigations are completed accurately.
