Personal account of Mamedov Elnur Arzuman oghlu
January 19, 2021
I am Mamedov Elnur Arzuman oghlu, born on October 10, 1989, in the city of Sheki. In 1996 I entered the 1st grade of the school № 258 named after Arif Aliyev. In 2007 I graduated from high school and entered the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. In 2012 he served in the military unit N of the Tovuz region. From 2012 to 2020 I worked in various positions.
On September 21, 2020, I was summoned to a mobilization camp. On September 27, when the war began, we were taken to the Fizuli region from the military unit where we trained. That night I fought until October 14th. On October 14, I was wounded during an offensive operation in the direction of a bloody ravine. Eight of our comrades were killed in that battle. About 15 people suffered along with me. I received a gunshot wound to my left arm and left leg. On the night of the 14th, I was taken to the Fizuli Central Hospital.
Due to my grave condition, on October 15, I was taken to the Main Clinical Hospital of the Armed Forces. On October 19, I underwent surgery and had a bullet removed from my leg. On November 27, I underwent surgery on a nerve on my arm. I was diagnosed with neurolysis of the left hand. I am getting physical therapy. My left hand is not working. However, we do not regret all this suffering. If we have a little work for the freedom of the Motherland, how good we are. As a result of the Armenian occupation, about 1 million of our refugees were expelled from their ancestral lands, babies, women, and old people were killed. We grew up because of all this, because of the tragedies that befell the nation.
That’s why the soldiers hated them. They were thrown into battle like wolves. The feeling of revenge overcame our fear. As a result of the unity of the nation, the forward-looking policy of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, we liberated our lands at the cost of the lives and blood of our soldiers. I am very proud that I fought for this Motherland on this sacred path, and my blood was shed for the well-being of these people. May God have mercy on all our martyrs. May God heal our veterans. We must educate the next generation in the spirit of patriotism so that they, like us, are ready to sacrifice their lives for the Motherland. Karabakh is Azerbaijan.
