Herdsmen attack Ogun community, kill two

Suspected Fulani militia has struck in Yewa-North Local Government Area Council of Ogun State, killing two villagers in an unexpected attack.
The area which has recorded a series of attacks from herdsmen that had resulted in the loss of lives and property was again on Thursday, ambushed.
The hoodlums believed to be herdsmen reportedly laid an ambush for the villagers around 5 am on the Owode Ketu-Ijoun-Tata Road and had two of them murdered at the spot.
A native of the village, Owode-Ketu simply identified as Gbenga disclosed to newsmen that the Fulani herdsmen killed two villagers in the ambush.
“Herders went to lay an ambush for people in my village, Owode-Ketu around 5 am this morning.
“Two corpses of locals have been found.
“Police from Eggua have evacuated the corpses,” he said.
DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Ogun State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, was not available to react to the unfortunate incident during the time of filing this report.
