The Nasarawa State Governor and the Chief Security Officer, Abdullahi Sule has alerted the general public and raised alarm over the regrouping, reorganizing, and restrategizing of Boko Haram terrorist sect in three Local Government Area Council of the State.
According to the Governor, the Local Government Areas include the following: Wamba, Nasarawa, and Karu. Karu LGA has a common boundary with the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The Governor disclosed this in his opening speech during an expanded Security Council meeting at the Government House, Lafia on Monday.
In his words, “one of the reasons for calling the meeting is because of the security concerns around the country and indeed around the State.
“From what we have seen so far, there are renewed activities of these dislodged bandits.
“Unfortunately, a lot of them are members of Daru Salem that have turned into Boko Haram. They have re-grouped in places like Bakono, Kabusu, Pander, Danbata, and Gidan Rice in Nasarawa, Wamba, and Karu LGAs.”
He, therefore, charged all the security agencies in the state to be at alert and ensure they nip every hoodlum in the state by waging war against all miscreants and criminal elements tormenting the peace already established by his administration in the state.
