As police confirm more fatalities, and that their facilities have been destroyed

There was sporadic shooting Wednesday night in Rivers State when men of the Nigerian Army discovered that two of their Hilux Patrol vehicles were set ablaze while they went out to ascertain the level of damages done to Zenith Bank, Oyigbo Branch of the state by unknown persons suspected to be angry protesting youths.
It was gathered that armed thugs earlier in the day razed down a police station located along Port Harcourt Express Road, Umuebule, Afam Police Station in the same Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State.
According to unconfirmed reports, the Divisional Police Officer ( DPO ) in charge of Oyigbo police station was allegedly beheaded by the hoodlums on Tuesday night while a police inspector was killed on Wednesday.
The hoodlums that attacked the police station equally killed a police sergeant and cut off his hands.
At least, three police officers in Oyigbo were killed, some police officers missing, and 5 hoodlums killed in the Diobu axis.
So many of the persons dead were said to have been hit by stray bullets at the Diobu axis of the local government.
The police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni told Correspondents that the information is still sketchy and cannot confirm the number of causalities, but that 3 persons were feared dead and not five as rumored on the social media.
Meanwhile, one of the relatives of a bus conductor hit by a stray bullet has called on the Rivers State Government to investigate the incident that led to the shooting of his younger brother at the Ikokwu road in mile 2, Diobu, Port Harcourt, and bring the perpetrators to book.
The senior brother to the Deceased Eferke Ofongo said his brother was only doing a conductor job to survive for now due to lack of job.
