Armed gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a mother of three children in Kaduna town.

A family member of the victim, who pleaded anonymity, disclosed to newsmen that they were contacted on Friday by the bandits, who informed them that the woman is in their custody, and demanded for N30 million ransom.

The woman was abducted on Monday from her matrimonial home in Kariji, a popular community along Yakowa, new road in the Chikun local government area of Kaduna town.

The source said the woman was kidnapped on Monday midnight by bandits in presence of her family members.

Findings revealed that the bandits mistook the woman’s husband for a successful car dealer, under the COVID-19 pandemic and poor car business climate.

This is the third time bandits have invaded the area and kidnapped residents in less than a month.Kaduna police Command spokesman Muhammad Jalige did not respond to our request for comment.
